24 Set Sguardo di Donna – Casa dei Tre Oci, Venice

On Saturday I visited the photography exhibition Sguardo di Donna, at Casa dei Tre Oci, Venice.

I recommend this visit to anyone who wants an unusual and intense female point of view and is ready to try new questions.
Because, as Giorgia Fiorio says, “Photography does not answer, everyone interprets the question according to his perception and sensitivity.”

The masterful set-up creates meta-dialogues that run on the three floors of the exhibition and intertwined wires and weave together images, architecture and life.

Thanks to the work of these 25 photographers, we get a close and intimate contact with them and the subjects of the photos, each bearer of questions on gender, peace, identity, childhood, mafia, dream and many others.
Images are direct and true, real and poetic.

A few days after the visit, I still feel I belong to a human whole, understood, embraced, made mine – and ours – thanks to these different points of view.

Most od all, Bettina Rheims‘ Gender Studies are stuck in my heart, bold and delicate, in transition but plenty of essence.
